How Optivon IP Trunking Works
Optivon IP Trunking works with a legacy telephone system or with analog telephones. The service is provisioned with broadband access, and relies on a gateway to interface with your telephone system. The gateway can support either analog ("tip and ring") or digital (CAS/PRI) connections to the telephone system. Customers can get up to 70 lines on a broadband connection, creating greater cost savings. With this service, a customer "ports" their existing business telephone numbers to Optivon's service, and incoming calls are delivered to the PBX in the same fashion as they are today. Customers who are moving to a new location can have new numbers assigned. End users continue to make calls the same way they do today. Beginning with as few as 12 circuits, the service can be provisioned with broadband internet access or by leveraging an existing Internet broadband service.
In addition to handling the local and long distance services, Optivon's IP Trunking can be used to support call center applications, unifying multiple locations into a single system, eliminating expensive toll calls between company locations, remote DID service, and conference calling.
